A documentary style short film focusing on the life and ethos of a seaside character known for his happy-go-lucky approach to the world. Tuppence Jeff, a life long fanatic of 2p machines, has a message that we all could take note of.

 

Through this whimsical but gritty short film, we follow the zigzag journey of a simple content soul, asking questions of meaning, belonging and happiness. His fascination of coin pushers has a relevance not only to his personal life but also through his greater understand of life's purpose.

Tuppence Jeff sees the world differently. Constantly bullied as a child, and into his teenage years, he became introvert and resigned to a life of loneliness. Then one day, through the nostalgic memory of his grandmother's words, everything fell into place.

"Man up you pleb!"

 

He understood his calling. He had to get up and get out. With a small pile of 2p's, his adventure of self discovery began. Finding solace in the lights and sounds of the arcade, he spent hour after hour observing and meditating on life's conundrums.

Long before he knew it, he found himself emersed in a philosohpical wisdom that has been the topic of discussion for millenia. In the dim light of a slightly run down amusement arcade on the edge of town, Tuppence Jeff discovers the meaning of life.
